Welcome to the Great Faces of Dorset website

We really hope you are here because you want to be in our book, Great Faces of Dorset, due to be published next year. It will contain approximately 125 profiles of interesting people from Dorset. There are many publications on the beautiful landscapes, buildings, barns and foods of Dorset but few that record the diversity of characters who live and work here, so we have set out to produce this book.

The most important part of this project is you, the reader and, with any luck, the participant.

If you have one (or more) of the following attributes, or know of someone else that does, we would love to hear from you:

• unusual profession or hobby
• extraordinary life
• interesting story
• unique looks (e.g. crazy moustache, mad hair or outrageous dress sense)
• striking appearance
